  • Prepare Your Org for Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced
Before you get started with Advanced Rebates and Accruals, configure your org with the required licenses, prepare your data records and set up required features.
  • Enable Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced
To access Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced objects in your org, you must enable the feature in Setup.
  • Assign Permission Sets for Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced
Assign permission sets to users to give them access to objects, fields, and features for Advanced Rebate and Accrual Management and related features. Permission sets extend users' functional access beyond their user profiles but can't take access away. You can assign multiple permission sets to a user.
  • Configure Data Cloud Connector
To ingest rebate objects and fields into Data Cloud, update the system permissions for the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector in your Salesforce org.
  • Deploy the Accrual and Payout Engine Data Kit
Streamline your Data Cloud configuration by deploying the predefined Data Kit, which creates the required DLOs and DMOs for advanced calculations.
  • Set Up an Experience Cloud Site
Set up Experience Cloud to give your partners access to view rebate programs and accrual information.
  • Populate Transaction Data in Transaction Journals
Use Transaction Journal to store transaction records for member accounts as inputs for accrual calculations. Retrieve transaction data from Salesforce objects such as Orders and from external systems.
  • Refine Accruals with Benefit Mappings
Use benefit mappings to create benefits for a rebate program that vary by additional criteria such as product category, partner territory, member enrollment status, and industry segment. For example, a volume-based rebate type can have benefits in which the accrual amount varies by product category for the same benefit tier.
  • Set Up an Approval Process
Use Approval Process to automate the process of approving accrual-related records for program members. An approval process automates how records are approved in Salesforce.
