Secondary Research Data Validation for Leads and Contacts
Secondary research data validation checks the employer information on your Contact and Lead records against the employer that AI Relationship Research discovers through research, and flags any discrepancy so that users can keep the current value or apply the discovered one.
AI Relationship Research surfaces the people and organizations connected to a record. Secondary research data validation adds a check on top of that research: when the current employer on a Contact or Lead record doesn't match the employer that research discovers, AI Relationship Research flags the discrepancy on the AI Relationship Research graph. Users decide what to do with the flagged value, so outdated employer information doesn't go unnoticed.
Benefits
- Catch stale employment data automatically. Surface mismatches between your CRM records and current web findings without manual review.
- Resolve discrepancies in context. Review and fix issues directly from the AI Relationship Research graph on the record page.
- Stay in control of your data. Every change is a deliberate choice. Dismiss a discrepancy to keep the CRM value, or confirm the discovered value to update the record.
How Validation Works
You enable validation on a configuration that uses Contact or Lead as the research anchor object. Validation compares the employer value on the record with the employer that research returns from the CRM and web data sources. When the values don't match, AI Relationship Research marks the affected node on the AI Relationship Research graph with a warning icon.
Employer Verification Rule
The Employer Verification validation rule defines the employer check. Enable this rule in a Contact or Lead configuration to have AI Relationship Research validate employer information each time research runs. To enable the rule, see Set Up Secondary Research Validation.
Resolving Flagged Data
When a node is flagged, users open it to compare the CRM value with the discovered employer, and then keep the existing value, or accept or dismiss the suggested update. To resolve a flagged discrepancy, see Review and Resolve an Employment Discrepancy.
- Set Up Secondary Research Validation
Add secondary research data validation to a Contact or Lead configuration so that AI Relationship Research checks employer information and flags discrepancies on the AI Relationship Research graph. - Add Validation to a Lead or Contact Record Page
Attach a validation-enabled research configuration to a Lead or Contact record page so that the relationship graph flags employer discrepancies for your users.
