Search Inventory

Search for specific inventory items across locations.

  • Click the Agentforce icon to start the Agentforce for Inventory Management.
  • Ask the agent to search for a product or part. For example, enter ‘find stainless steel bolts in warehouse A.’

The agent identifies the query as an inventory search, maps it to relevant searchable fields, retrieves matching products or parts, and presents the results using the Get Search Criteria and Results action.

You’ll see a summary of results in the chat. Click the Go To Inventory Search button to view more detailed results on the CBSF-powered search page, where you can review and add or update filters as needed.

Summarize Inventory

Get a quick overview of inventory across your locations or products. Using natural language queries that include the product name, inventory location name, stock status (such as shortage, excess, or optimal), or a combination of these, you can easily view overall stock levels, identify excess or shortage items, and check product availability at specific locations. Ensure that the product name, inventory location name, and stock status are configured as search fields in the CBSF search configuration. You can ask about individual products, specific locations, or quantities, and follow up with additional questions to get more detailed insights.

  • Click the Agentforce icon to start the agentforce for Inventory Management.
  • Ask the agent for an inventory summary. For example, enter ‘Give me the stock status of products in the Mumbai warehouse.’

The agent uses CBSF configuration and available searchable fields to process the product name and location, then summarizes stock quantities and status across locations or products using the Summarize Inventory action

Click the Go To Inventory Search button to access the CBSF-powered search page, where you can review and add or update filters as needed.

Note
Note All search and summary actions use the Product Inventory Searchable Field (PSF) flat entity. To ensure correct results, verify that the fields mapped in PSF contain up-to-date inventory, location, and stock status values.

Create Product Request

Create product requests for specific products and quantities from the given location.

  • Click the Agentforce icon to start the agentforce for Inventory Management.
  • Ask the agent to create a product request for replenishment. For example, enter ‘Create Product request for product item PI-0001.’ The agent checks for open product requests, initiates the replenishment process, and prompts the user to confirm or update source location and quantity before creating the request with the Create Product Request action.
  • Review the suggested source location and quantity. These recommendations are based on replenishment policies, past product requests and transfers, and nearby locations. Modify the suggested source location and quantity if needed.
  • Click Confirm to create the product request.

The agent creates the product request and shows the response.

You can also create product requests directly after a search or stock summarisation. When accessing the CBSF search page from the agent window, products are automatically filtered based on your search criteria. From the results, select one or more items that are in shortage, then click Create Product Request. Review and, if necessary, update the suggested source location and quantity. These suggestions are generated based on replenishment policies, past requests, transfers, and nearby locations. When ready, click Create to submit all selected items in a single, consolidated request.
