Configure a Searchable Object for Inventory Batch Search

Create a searchable object configuration to define the object that's the basis of the search experience. This configuration determines how the object's data is updated, parsed, aggregated, and displayed in both search criteria and results. You can reuse a searchable object configuration across multiple search criteria configurations. For Inventory Batch Search, use the Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field object. Use an activated copy of the Update Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field Values data processing engine (DPE) definition template to automatically sync the data.

User Permissions Needed
To configure the searchable object:

Use Criteria-Based Search and Filter system permission

AND

Manage Inventory Search system permission

Before you begin, activate a copy of the Update Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field Values DPE template and assign the Inventory Search and Transfer permission set to the Integration User.

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Criteria-Based Search and Filter, and then select Criteria-Based Search and Filter.
  2. On the Searchable Object Configuration tab, click New.
  3. Enter a name for the configuration.
    For example, enter Product Inventory Batch Search. The API name is automatically populated.
  4. For Searchable Object, search for and select Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field.
  5. For Data Synchronization Job, search for and select your activated copy of the Update Product Inventory Batch Searchable Field Values DPE definition template.
  6. Enter a description.
  7. Save your changes.

If necessary, set up criteria field mapping, filter field display format, result field mapping, and filter field parsing for the searchable object configuration. You select your searchable object configuration in the search criteria configuration that you create for Inventory Batch Search.
