Run an Over or Under Hours Report

For teams that require technicians to work a certain number of hours per week, supervisors can create an Over or Under Hours report which includes the details of the total hours of each technician.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: All editions of Field Service Plus for Energy & Utilities, and all editions of Asset Service Lifecycle Management
User Permissions Needed
To access Timesheets objects: Labor Cost Optimization Supervisor
Report Name Business Type Custom Report Type Key Columns
Over or Under 40 Report The report shows if each technician met the 40-hour weekly target. It also shows if they exceeded or fell short of the target. Conditional formatting highlights any shortfalls or excesses for quick review. This is helpful before payroll approval. Time Sheet → Time Sheet Wage Type Summary (no new type needed)
  • Service Resource Name (grouped)
  • Time Sheet ID
  • Start Time
  • End Time
  • Regular Hours
  • Time-and-a-Half Hours
  • Double-Time Hours
  • Unpaid Hours
  • Total Duration (Hours) - subtotal conditionally formatted (green > 40 hrs and red < 40 hrs)
  1. From the App Launcher, find and select Reports and click New Report.
  2. Select Time Sheet and Wage Type Summary as the report type.
    If the report type does not exist, ask your system administrator to add a new report type.
  3. Add the following key columns.
    • Service Resource Name (grouped)
    • Time Sheet ID
    • Start Time
    • End Time
    • Regular Hours
    • Time-and-a-Half Hours
    • Double-Time Hours
    • Unpaid Hours
    • Total Duration (Hours) - subtotal conditionally formatted (green > 40 hrs and red < 40 hrs)
  4. Add the required filters.
    • Time Sheet Start Date Time
    • Service Resource Name
  5. Click Save & Run.
