            Cancel a Running Backup

            Stop a running backup in Salesforce to fix an error in production data or modify default backup options.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
            User Permissions Needed
            To cancel a backup: Cancel Backup
            1. Click the Backup tab.
            2. In the running backup's row, click "Action Icon", and then Cancel Backup.
            3. Select a reason for canceling the backup.
            4. Click Cancel Backup.
