          Preview Your Restore

          When you restore data from a backup, you can select an object hierarchy depth to include child objects of that depth in the restore. To review all the child objects included in the restore before confirming the restore, do a preview restore.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Backup & Recover Data and Backup & Recover Files add-on licenses
          User Permissions Needed
          To run restore: Run Restore
          To view restore results: View Restore
          1. From a compare report, select the object you want to restore.
          2. Select the records to restore.
          3. Click Save.
          4. Click Preview Restore.
          5. Click the Objects Hierarchy tab and select the object level depth.
            Select

            No Hierarchy to not include child objects.

          6. Confirm that:
            1. You have the Modify All Data permission.
            2. Email Deliverability is disabled.
            3. Validation rules, triggers, and workflows are disabled.
          7. Click Preview Restore. A new restore activity is created as the system automatically identifies the child objects.
          8. When the preview restore is complete, open the restore activity from the activities list.
          9. From the list on the left, view the objects included in the restore.
          10. Click Restore.

          The restore begins. When completed, the restore results are available in the activity.
