Archive or Rename Mobile Publisher Projects

Archive or Rename Mobile Publisher Projects

Keep your project list organized by renaming projects or archiving ones that are no longer in active use.

          Required Editions

Setup for Mobile Publisher available in: Lightning Experience
Setup for Mobile Publisher available in: production only (not sandbox)
Available in Lightning Experience in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions

You can rename existing projects to better reflect their purpose, or archive projects that are no longer in active use. Archiving keeps your workspace focused on current priorities without permanently losing project configurations.

          1. From Setup, enter Mobile Publisher in the Quick Find box, then select Mobile Publisher.
          2. On the mobile app project list, locate the project you want to manage and click the arrow next to it.
          3. To rename the project, select Rename.
            1. Enter a new name in the project name field.
            2. Save your changes.
You see the updated name immediately across your dashboard.
          4. To archive the project, select Archive.
            Important
Important When you archive a project:
            • Salesforce no longer builds new versions of the app.
            • Older versions that were published before archiving remain available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
            • To remove the app from the app stores, you must manually unpublish it from the App Store and Google Play Store. Until removed, the app remains available for download.
            • The project is removed from your primary list of active apps while preserving its configurations.
            • You can't unarchive the project, but you can still access the configuration to manually copy settings to a new project.
            1. In the confirmation prompt, confirm that you want to archive the project.
The project is now archived and no longer appears in your active project list.
