          Actionable Telematics Framework for Connected Assets

          The actionable event orchestration framework empowers companies to build sophisticated orchestrations for processing event data generated from assets and take actions in Salesforce. Design orchestration processes that respond to key asset events, such as sensor faults, high ambient temperatures, and battery failures, by setting rules and conditions. After the asset sends the event data, the framework determines the orchestration process to execute. Use these orchestrations to create and update records, including work orders, asset milestones, cases, milestones, and record alerts. Service teams monitor these records in real time and take the required actions, such as offering assistance to customers and performing on-site services.

          External systems store extensive telemetry, operational, performance, service, geospatial, and other forms of data for assets. This data is generated from asset sensors and Internet of Things (IoT) systems, and made available to downstream systems such as Salesforce. Use the actionable event orchestration framework to process a subset of the event data in Salesforce. The framework uses expression sets or flows to take actions such as creating cases, work orders, and record alerts, or to trigger more complex business workflows.

          Get event data into Salesforce by publishing platform events or by using an API. Define the types of the events that you receive. Build orchestrations that execute based on the types of the events.
