Set Up Flow-Based Orchestrations for Connected Assets
Effortlessly save orchestration records as templates and directly apply expression set
templates or flow templates as execution procedures for actionable event orchestrations.
Additionally, templates come with related configurations—such as context definitions and
flows—enabling seamless automation of key business processes such as asset registration and
service appointment scheduling.
Schedule Service Appointments for Actionable Events Orchestration The Schedule Service Appointments for Actionable Events flow automates the scheduling of Service Appointments when an Actionable Event, such as a diagnostic fault or a maintenance alert, is triggered by a connected asset. This flow uses the FaultEventScheduleAppointmentDetails__stdctx context definition to extract the event data, the asset identifier, and the event's geographic location, before locating the nearest service territories based on the geographic proximity. It then invokes an orchestration action to book the service appointment.
Update Records For Asset Registration Event The Update Records for Asset Registration Event flow automatically processes incoming Asset Registration Events in your org. Use the flow to automatically update fields of Asset Milestone, Entitlement and Asset Warranty records based on the information passed through the AssetRegistrationUpdateRecordDetails__stdctx context definition. This flow identifies the relevant Asset record through the matching Asset ID or Serial Number and uses the associated context data to update associated records.
Create Records For Asset Registration Event The Create Records for Asset Registration Event flow automates the post-registration lifecycle of an asset. This flow retrieves data from the AssetRegistrationCreateRecordDetails__stdctx context definition and its related mapping to identify the registered asset. It uses three subflows in sequence to create Entitlement, Asset Milestone, and Asset Warranty records associated with that asset. The flow then generates a formatted summary and sends an email to the designated recipient with the results.
