Enhance Price Protection with Current PUI Updates

The Create, Update or Delete PPE/PPELI based on product-detected price changes DPE automatically refreshes partner inventory with every execution, using the latest PUI snapshot. This eliminates grace period delays, provides immediate updates, and helps warnings clear sooner for smoother claim processing. Additionally, the reconciliation process now includes in-transit quantities for more accurate reporting.

Available in: Enterprise, Professional, and Unlimited Editions with Price Protection enabled.

Example This example demonstrates two scenarios where a back-dated transaction affects Price Protection calculations: A back-dated sale that impacts remaining quantity and a back-dated status change that resolves a warning.
Initial Setup (September 5)
Condition Details
Partner Unsold Inventory (PUI) PUI-1 exists for Product A with an original quantity of 100.
Rebate Program RP-1 is active and configured with a 20-day transaction grace period.
Price Protection DPE Run On September 5, the DPE runs and creates a Price Protection Execution Line Item (PPELI) linked to PUI-1, showing 100 remaining units.
On September 6, a back-dated debit of 20 units (dated September 2) is recorded. When the Price Protection DPE runs on September 7, the outcome depends on the grace period configuration.
