Configure Validity Duration for Stock Rotation Incentive
Define the Validity Duration to establish the timeframe for eligible transactions. This
ensures that only inventory purchased within a specific window can be returned or
scrapped.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer
Editions that have Stock Rotation enabled.
User Permissions
Needed
To configure validity duration:
Stock Rotation Admin permission set
On a Program Rebate Type record, open the Calculation
Information related list of the Details tab.
Enter Validity Duration that defines the duration for which the
inventory is eligible for stock rotation. For example, 10.
Enter Validity Duration Type which defines the unit of measure
for the validity duration. Valid values are Days, Months and Years.

The system calculates the Stock Rotation Start Date by subtracting the Validity
Duration from the Rebate Program Start Date. This calculation (StockRotationStartDate to
StockRotationEndDate) resides within the Stock Rotation DPE, allowing for custom logic
if needed.
Example If a program starts on November 1st and the Validity Duration is 10 days, the
eligibility window begins on October 22nd. Any inventory purchased between October 22nd and
the program end date is eligible for rotation.
Note
The account on the inventory record must match the Rebate Program Member.
The product must satisfy the Include/Exclude filters defined above.
The price type on the inventory record (e.g., "List Price") must match the eligibility
record.
