Configure Loyalty Program Process Aliases

Use aliases to quickly and easily specify object fields as resources. You can also use aliases for loyalty objects and fields instead of providing object-field relationships. To make loyalty aliases available as formula resources, define the formula in a rule condition.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: EnterprisePerformance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with Loyalty Management
User Permissions Needed
To create a loyalty program process alias: Expression Set Object Aliases
Important
Important You can’t create an alias for a field that has a polymorphic lookup relationship to two or more objects. For example, you can’t create an alias for the Member field in the Transaction Journal object.
  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Loyalty Program Process Aliases, and then select Loyalty Program Process Aliases.
  2. On the Object and Field Aliases page, click New.
  3. From Usage Type, select TransactionJournal.
  4. For Create Field Alias For, select either an existing object alias or create an object alias.
  5. Select the object for which you want to create a field alias.
  6. Select the field for which you want to create the alias.
For example, you can create an alias for the quantity purchased: Transaction Journal > Quantity.
  7. Enter the alias name.
  8. Save the object alias.
When a loyalty alias is in use, you can’t modify or delete the alias. When the loyalty program process rule is inactive, you can change the source fields of the same data type.
