Configure Consent Export Settings

Configure where Global Consent Manager exports consent records, and enable export to your Amazon S3 bucket.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions. Requires the Privacy Center license.

Before you configure export settings, create a named credential in Setup that authenticates to your AWS account, and grant it permission to write to your Amazon S3 bucket. For help setting up authentication and permissions on the AWS side, see your AWS documentation.

Global Consent Manager exports consent records as CSV files to your Amazon S3 bucket. Each file is written to a path keyed by prefix, Global Consent Definition ID, date, and timestamp, in the form [prefix]/[consentDefinitionId]/MM-DD-YYYY/[timestamp].csv.

  1. From Setup, under Global Consent Manager, select Consent Export Settings.
  2. In the Destination section, for Named Credential, select the named credential that authenticates to your AWS account.
  3. For S3 Bucket, enter the name of the bucket where Global Consent Manager exports consent records.
    The named credential needs write permission for this bucket.
  4. For S3 Prefix, enter a path within the bucket where Global Consent Manager writes the export files.
  5. Click Save.
    Enable export only after you save the configuration.
  6. In the Activation section, turn on Consent Data Export.

In the Status section, monitor the status of the consent data export.
