Governor Limit Insights
Monitor your org's governor limit usage and address potential breaches before they affect performance.
Considerations
- Governor Limit Insights shows peak-hour usage trends and breach counts for key Salesforce governor limits, including API requests, async Apex, Bulk API jobs, concurrent requests, and High Volume Platform Events.
- Status tiles summarize the health of each limit: Breached Governor Limit, Approaching Governor Limit, or Below Governor Limit.
- Breach tiles show the governor limit cap and the number of times your org exceeded it during the report window.
- Use the Takeaways section to review breach counts and follow recommendations.
- If data isn't available for a specific limit, an inline message appears in that limit's section.
To generate Governor Limit Insights:
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Scale Insights, then click Governor Limit Insights.
- Click Generate Insight Report. Governor Limit Insights analyzes your org's peak-hour governor limit usage and surfaces breach counts, trends, and top contributors for each limit family.
Governor Limit Insight Categories
| Category | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| API Requests | Total API request volume and peak-hour trends. The APIs Contributing table shows top callers broken down by user, namespace, and API entity, including Apex via REST and Apex via SOAP sources. |
| Async Apex Executions | Async Apex job volume and execution breakdown during peak hours, including Queueable, Batch (Batch-ACS, Serial, and Parallel), and APEX message entry point types. |
| Bulk API 1.0 Jobs | Top Bulk API 1.0 jobs by row count, including job type and contributing user. |
| Bulk API 2.0 Rows Limit | Top Bulk API 2.0 jobs by records processed, with a Bulk API 2.0 Rows Processed trend chart. |
| Concurrent Apex Snapshots | Point-in-time snapshots of concurrent long-running Apex request activity during peak hours. Shows active request counts to help identify when your org approaches the concurrent Apex execution limit. |
| Concurrent API Snapshots | Point-in-time snapshots of concurrent API request activity during peak hours. Shows simultaneous API request counts to help identify concurrency spikes and potential throttling. |
| Concurrent UI Snapshots | Point-in-time snapshots of concurrent UI request activity during the report window, including breach reasons and UI-contributing sources. |
| High Volume Platform Events Published | HVPE event volume by event type and publisher during peak hours. |
