To turn on traceability settings: Loyalty Management

Points to keep in mind before you turn on traceability settings.

          • After you enable traceability, you can’t use the Data Processing Engine definition, Aggregate Fixed Non-Qualifying Points in Expiration Ledgers. So, if you’ve scheduled the definition to run periodically, disable the schedule.
          • Before you turn on asynchronous point tracing, review the impact of asynchronous point tracing on other processes.

          • If you have debit ledgers for an active currency for which you want to turn on tracing, create traceability records for all the debit ledgers. To learn how to validate the traceability records you create, see Validate Loyalty Ledger Traceability Records.
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Loyalty Management, and then select Loyalty Management Settings.
          2. To turn on tracing of points for currencies with the fixed-duration expiration model, perform these steps.
            1. Turn on Point Tracing for Fixed Duration Currencies.
            2. To process traceable redemption transactions asynchronously to manage large data volumes without lag or timeouts, turn on Asynchronous Point Tracing for Fixed Duration Currencies.

After you turn on this setting, points are traced asynchronously only when the number of unexpired credit ledgers for a member and currency exceeds the threshold.

By default, the threshold is 1,500. To decrease the threshold value or to increase it up to 10,000, contact Salesforce Customer Support.

              Note
Note If you increase the threshold, the lag increases based on the number of unexpired ledgers being processed.
          3. To turn on tracing of points for currencies with the activity-based expiration model, turn on Asynchronous Point Tracing for Activity-Based Currencies.
Points for currencies with activity-based expiration can be traced only asynchronously.
