Automate Promotions Data Sync in Marketing Cloud Engagement for Loyalty Management

Global Promotions Management relies on the Marketing Cloud Connect managed package to send data from the Global Promotions Management org to a Marketing Cloud Engagement instance. The marketing journeys that are created in the connected Engagement org for activated promotions use the Global Promotions Management data to send out promotion launch emails. So install and set up Marketing Cloud Connect in the Global Promotions Management org and in the connected Engagement instance. After setting up Marketing Cloud Connect, create Synchronized Data Sources for Global Promotions Management objects in the Engagement instance.

When you set up Marketing Cloud Connect managed package to use Global Promotions Management, you must perform some additional steps.

  1. Install and set up Marketing Cloud Connect package.
  2. Create a permission set to provide Marketing Cloud Connect API users access to Global Promotions Management.
  3. Edit the custom permission set to provide access to these Loyalty Management objects.
    • Game Definition
    • Internal Organization Unit
    • Loyalty Program
    • Loyalty Program Currency
    • Loyalty Program Member
    • Loyalty Tier
    • Loyalty Tier Group
  4. Create synchronized data sources to access Global Promotions Management Data in Marketing Cloud Engagement.
  5. In addition to the Global Promotions Management objects, create synchronized data sources for these Loyalty Management objects.
    • Internal Organization Unit
    • Loyalty Program
    • Loyalty Program Currency
    • Loyalty Program Member
    • Loyalty Tier
    • Loyalty Tier Group
