You are here:
Create Components Using Omnistudio Hybrid
Select the Managed Using Standard Designer option when creating Omnistudio components to build new components in the standard designer while you continue managing legacy components in the managed package designer.
Before creating components, make sure that the Managed Package Designer setting is enabled in Omnistudio Settings in Setup.
When you create a component and select the Managed Using Standard Designer checkbox, the system locks the component to the standard designer. You can't open or configure such components in the managed package designer. This ensures implementation stability as you transition individual components to the standard designer.
- From the App Launcher, open Omnistudio Flexcards or Omnistudio Omniscripts and create a component.
-
In the creation dialog, select the Managed Using Standard
Designer checkbox.
Note The Managed Using Standard Designer checkbox is available only when creating new components, such as Omniscripts, Flexcards, Data Mappers, or Integration Procedures.
- Save your changes.
The list view page in the managed package designer shows the Managed Using Standard Designer column, which indicates whether a component was created in the managed package or the standard designer. If this column is enabled, the component was created using the standard designer.
How you locate and open components depends on your data model:
- Standard data models
- One list view is available in the App Launcher.
- Custom data models
- Two distinct list views are available in the App Launcher. The hierarchy list view contains managed package items. The standard list view contains components managed using the standard designer. For example, OmniStudio FlexCards (managed package) and Omnistudio Flexcards (standard).
To open components built on standard data models:
- From the App Launcher, find and select Omnistudio Flexcards, Omnistudio Omniscripts, Omnistudio Integration Procedures, or Omnistudio Data Mappers.
- On the list view page, locate your component.
- Verify that the Managed Using Standard Designer column is selected for the component. If selected, the component was created using the standard designer.
- Click the component name to open it in the standard designer.
On custom data models, access the relevant list view from the App Launcher to manage your components.
