Setting Up Partner Connect as a Partner

Set up Partner Connect (for Partners) in Salesforce Go.

Required Editions

Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: EnterprisePerformance, and Unlimited Editions in Agentforce for Sales with Partner Ecosystem Management - Members, Partner Ecosystem Management - Login and PRM add-on license. Partners aren’t required to purchase any licenses to use Partner Connect.
User Permissions Needed
To set up Partner Connect (for Partners) (Beta) Customize Application
  1. From the gear icon, select Salesforce Go.
  2. Search for Partner Connect (for Partners) (Beta) on the Salesforce Go Home page.
  3. Turn on Partner Connect (for Partners) (Beta).
  4. Create a Salesforce integration user:
    1. Click Go to Setup.
    2. On the Users page, click New User.
    3. Fill in the required fields in the General Information section.
    4. In the Email field, enter the email address of the vendor admin.
    5. For User License, select Salesforce Integration.
    6. Save the user details.
    The vendor admin receives an email with a link to create a password for the integration user, which they use to complete Partner Connect setup in their org.
  5. Return to the Salesforce Go setup page and mark the step as complete.
  6. Follow the instructions on the setup page to assign permissions to the integration user.

    Note To share only specific objects or configure field-level access, create a custom permission set instead of using the default permissions.
  7. Add the Synced Record Preview component to the record pages:
    1. Click Manage.
    2. Click Open in App Builder for the object whose record page you want to modify.
    3. In Lightning App Builder, search for Synced Record Preview.
    4. Drag the component to your preferred location on the page layout.
    5. Save your changes.
    6. Return to the setup page and mark this step as complete.
