Process Transaction Journals in Real Time

In the API, ensure that you enter values for all Transaction Journal fields that are used in the loyalty program process that processes the transaction journal. You can provide the details of multiple transactions in the API. Along with the required fields of Transaction Journal, enter the necessary value in the Journal Type field for every transaction. If program processes in your org also filter incoming transactions by journal subtype, enter the required value in the Journal Subtype field.

When the API receives transaction data, it creates unique Transaction Journal records for each transaction. Next, based on the journal type and subtype of each incoming transaction journal, the API triggers loyalty program processes. For each transaction journal, only active processes with matching journal type and subtype are triggered. After the transaction journal is processed, its status changes to Processed.

The points balances of members that are associated with the transaction journals are updated as soon as points are either credited to or debited from the member. You don't have to turn on the settings to update points balances in real time.
