            Understand and Manage Your Org’s Security Health Check Score

            The Security Health Check detail page in Security Center Essentials helps you monitor your org's security posture over time by tracking how well your security settings meet the Salesforce Baseline Standard or a custom baseline you created. Security Center Essentials stores Security Health Check data for 30 days.

            The Health Check Score's detailed view shows your org's security settings categorized as high-risk, medium-risk, low-risk, and informational, based on how important they are for your org’s security according to the baseline standard your org is using. Within those four categories, each setting has one of three statuses: Compliant, Warning, or Critical. Settings that meet or exceed the baseline standard are compliant and raise your score. Settings that don't meet the baseline lower your score.

            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Security Center. Security Center Essentials appears.
            2. From the dashboard, go to the Security Health Check metric. Its detail page shows your org's Health Check score for the most recent 30 days.
            3. Click Update Data if you need to manually refresh the metric with the latest information.
            4. Review the trend line to identify changes in your org's security posture over time.
            5. Hover over any point on the trend line to see your org's score for that specific date.
            6. To see which security settings contributed to a specific day's score, click the score number in the Totals by Date table.
            7. Review the settings and their states and make adjustments in your org as needed to improve your health check score.

            You're an admin for a small business using Security Center Essentials to monitor your org's security. You notice that your Health Check score dropped from 78% to 65% over the past week. You click the Security Health Check tile to open the detail page and review the trend line. You see a sharp decline starting five days ago. You click that day's score in the Totals by Date table and discover that several password policy settings changed from Compliant to Critical status.

            You realize that a recent policy update weakened your password requirements. With this information, you adjust the password policies to meet the baseline standard, improving your org's security score and overall security posture.
