Verify Salesforce AWS Account for Private Connect

Verify Salesforce AWS Account for Private Connect

For your Snowflake, Redshift, or S3 private connector to work, verify your AWS account is listed as a Private Connect.

          1. Determine the AWS region you’re using for your AWS Account.

For Amazon S3, to get this value, see Finding your currect AWS account and AWS region.

For Amazon Redshift, get this value from the VPC Endpoint Service.

For Snowflake, get this value from the Region Field of SYSTEM$GET_PRIVATELINK_CONFIG in your Snowflake settings.

          2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Private, and then select Private Connect.
          3. Open the AWS Region list and verify your AWS account number is present.

          4. If you’re using Amazon Redshift, make note of the IAM role of the region where the Redshift VPC is located. In the Amazon AWS console, go to VPC, select Endpoint Services, and enable Allow Principals for the Redshift VPC endpoint service with the IAM role that matches the Salesforce Private Connect AWS region.
          5. If you’re using Snowflake, request your Snowflake admin add the account to the hostnames allowed list.
