Note
Note We run a scheduled, one-time job to populate the lists of objects and their fields. It can take up to 24 hours after the job is run for objects and fields to appear.
  1. Make sure your sensitivity and compliance picklist values are configured for your org. Go to Setup and enter Data Classification Settings in the Search field.
  2. On the Fields list, select the objects whose fields you want to classify.
  3. Select the fields you want to classify. If you select multiple fields, you must classify them all the same way.
  4. Click Update Selected Fields and select sensitivity level, compliance category, data owner, and field usage as needed.
  5. Click Review Changes, then confirm your classifications or edit them.
Changes appear on the Fields list. If you classify a large number of fields, the job may take a while. Fields being classified aren't available for further classification until the job is complete.
