Mitigate Risks and Plan Around System Limits
Review considerations, permissions, and platform limits before setting up shift scheduling.
License and Access Considerations
- Work Routing: Set up job profiles to map to Omni-Channel queues for support routing, or align job profiles directly with Work Types and skill requirements for field operations.
- Viewing Assignments: Workers view assigned schedules from the Shifts related list on their service resource record, through Home in Workforce Management, or in the mobile app.
General Limits
| Limit | Details |
|---|---|
| Maximum number of service resources per user | 1 per service resource type |
| Maximum number of service resource preferences | 1 per service resource |
| Maximum number of core object records | Platform behavior; 2000 records can be viewed without searching |
| Maximum number of service resources per service territory | Up to 2000 service resources per service territory displayed in the Schedule Manager UI. Additional service resources can exist in the system, but filtering or searching is required to view resources beyond 2000. |
Scheduling Limits
| Limit | Details |
|---|---|
| Maximum number of shifts that can be batch assigned (using Assign) | 200 shifts at once |

| Maximum historical data in adherence metrics (Workforce Management only) | Up to the past 365 days |
