Note If Apex references one of an object’s fields, you can’t disable field history tracking for
that object.
- From the management settings for the object whose field history you want to stop tracking, select Fields & Relationships.
- Click Set History Tracking.
-
Deselect the tracking you want to disable.
- To disable field history tracking for all fields, click Deselect all fields.
- To disable field history tracking for individual fields, deselect those fields.
-
Save your changes.
The History related list is automatically removed from the associated object’s page layouts.
When you disable field history tracking on a standard object, you can still report on its history data up to the date and time that you disabled tracking. When you disable field history tracking on a custom object, you can no longer report on its field history.
