Add Benefit Mappings

Create qualifying criteria for your benefits to differentiate them by product category, region, and other business-specific dimensions. To introduce the criteria into the benefit structure, map similar fields in the Program Rebate Type Benefit and the Transaction Journal objects.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions that have Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced enabled.
User Permissions Needed
To create a Program Rebate Type Benefit Mapping Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced Admin permission set
  1. Open the record of the rebate program that you want to activate, and select the Benefit Mappings related list on the Related tab. Or from App Launcher search, enter Program Rebate Type Benefit Mappings, and then select Program Rebate Type Benefit Mappings.
  2. Click New.
  3. Provide these details, and then save your changes.
    Field Value
    Program Rebate Type Name of the rebate type for which you create a mapping. When you create benefit mappings from the Related tab of a rebate type, this value defaults to the current rebate type.

    Source Field

    Field on the Transaction Journal object. In the Advanced engine, map directly to Transaction Journal fields that serve as the source for benefit criteria matching.

    When benefit mappings are configured, the engine uses exact matching between the benefit's mapped field value and the transaction data. If no exact match is found, benefit isn't applied to the transaction.

  • You can add up to ten benefit mappings for a rebate type.
  • Ensure that benefit mapping source fields are selected in the Transaction Journal datasource node and mapped to the appropriate anchor in the Writeback to Accrual and Payout Input Ingest DLO node in your cloned Data Preparation DPE.
