Add Benefits and Benefit Mappings for a Rebate Type

Add Benefits and Benefit Mappings for a Rebate Type

Create benefits for an advanced rebate type to define thresholds and how payouts are scaled. You can introduce granularity by adding benefit-mapping criteria, which the engine uses as Anchors during high-volume processing in Data Cloud.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions that have Rebate and Accrual Management Advanced enabled.
  • Define Tiers: Add benefit tiers with a range of sales targets (Min/Max) and the applicable benefit value.
  • Configure Mappings: Use the Benefit Mapping related list to differentiate benefits by account territory, product category, or custom fields.
  • Advanced Logic: Ensure the mapped fields exist on both the Program Rebate Type Benefit and the Transaction Journal so the engine can match records correctly in DPE on Data Cloud. Benefit mappings and anchor criteria must be the same. Benefits with different products or anchor values can only be created if the corresponding benefit mappings are configured. The engine uses only exact matching between the benefit's mapped field value and the transaction data. If no exact match is found, benefit will not be applied to the transaction.
  • Create Benefits
Add benefits to a rebate type to define qualifying ranges and benefit values for each range. View and edit benefits from the Benefits tab on a Rebate Type record.
  • Add Benefit Mappings
Create qualifying criteria for your benefits to differentiate them by product category, region, and other business-specific dimensions. To introduce the criteria into the benefit structure, map similar fields in the Program Rebate Type Benefit and the Transaction Journal objects.
