You are here:
Create a License Utilization Notifications Flow
After you configured which licenses to monitor and defined the thresholds to trigger alerts, you can create the flow for alert notifications. You can send notifications to members of a profile, permission set, or public group. You can also create separate notification flows for each member group.
Before you begin:
- Configure the License Utilization Alerts flows for user or permission set licenses, or both.
- Create a custom notification type with the name,
Send License Utilization Alert. - Determine the recipients for the notifications, and which delivery method to use to reach the correct set of users: profile, permission set, or public group.
- Send License Utilization Alerts to a Profile's Users
Send alerts to everyone assigned to a single specific profile. Because the License Utilization Notification template is configured to notify via the System Administrator profile by default, no flow changes are required if this is the profile you want to notify. However, you can swap out the System Administrator profile and indicate another profile, without any other flow modifications required. Use this method when your alert audience maps cleanly to an existing profile. - Send License Utilization Alerts to Multiple Profiles
Send alerts to everyone assigned to the specified profiles. Because the License Utilization Notification template’s default behavior is to send notifications to only the System Administrator profile, the flow requires some changes. - Send License Utilization Alerts to Users Assigned to a Permission Set
To send notifications to users assigned to a permission set, the provided License Utilization Notification template requires some changes. - Send License Utilization Alerts to a Public Group's Members
To send notifications to users who are members of a public group, the provided License Utilization Notification template requires some changes.
