Configure the License Utilization Alerts Flow for Permission Set Licenses
Creating alerts for permission set licenses involves configuring the License Utilization Alerts flow to define which user licenses to monitor and the percentage thresholds that trigger an alert.
You must create separate flows for user license and permission set licences. See Configure the License Utilization Alerts Flow for User Licenses.
- From the App Launcher, select Automations.
- From the Flows tab, click New, then enter License Utilization in Search to locate and select the License Utilization Alerts template.
- (Optional) Change the schedule when the flow runs.
-
Click the Assign License Values element to create a list of permission set licenses to
monitor.
Change the default assignment for the Salesforce license to a permission set license, and then optionally add more licenses.
- Click Add Assignment.
- For Variable, enter CollectLicenses, and for Operator, select Add.
- For Value, type or copy the name of the permission set license as it appears in License Utilization.
- Repeat until you added all required permission set licenses.
If you accidentally mix user licenses and permission set licenses when assigning the license values, the flow only honors the license type indicated in the Create License Utilization Alert element. The flow silently ignores licenses that don’t match the indicated license type.
-
Click the Assign Thresholds element.
The default threshold values are 80% and 90%. If the default values work for you, go to the next step. If not, modify or add threshold values. To add a threshold value, click Add Assignment.
Variable SetThresholdValue Operator Add Value Whole number (1 to 100)
-
Click the Create License Utilization Alert element.
For License Type, delete the current value that collects user licenses and update it to
LicenseType_PermissionSetLicense.
- Save the flow and give it a descriptive name.
- Activate the flow.
