Delete Records

For some kinds of objects, deleting one record affects other, related records.

Required Editions

Available in: both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
Available in: all editions
User Permissions Needed
To delete records: Delete on the object for the kind of record you’re deleting

Before you delete a record, check whether there are related records. For example, if you delete an account or contact, all associated assets are also deleted.

  1. Find and open the record you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete.
