The enhanced profile user interface provides a streamlined experience for managing
profiles. You can easily navigate, search, and modify settings for a profile. Your Salesforce
org can use one profile user interface at a time.

To enable the enhanced profile user interface:
Customize Application
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter User, and then select
User Management Settings.
Enable Enhanced Profile User Interface.
You can’t use the enhanced profile user interface for your org if:
You use Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 6, which is now obsolete. Support for Internet
Explorer ended December 2020. Replace it with Microsoft Edge.
You use category groups on guest profiles used for sites.
You delegate partner portal administration to portal users.
