          Agentforce Platform | Verify Customer

Verifies the customer’s identity based on the one-time passcode (OTP) generated and emailed by the Send Email with Verification Code action. When a user initiates verification, the system indicates that a verification code will be sent if the provided email or username is valid, and prompts the user to enter the code. If the user verification is successful, it outputs the verified user or contact ID, which can be used in filters and as input to other actions. If the verification is unsuccessful, it prompts the user to retry.

          Considerations and Guidelines

          • Verification flows run in system context with elevated permissions and use contact records to verify user identity.
          • During the verification process, the user must enter the correct OTP to continue. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, the process restarts, requiring the user to reenter their username or email address to receive a new verification code. This security measure prevents bypassing the verification process after multiple unsuccessful attempts.
          • To use this action with the Send Email with Verification Code action, map the outputs of the Send Email with Verification Code action to variables. Then assign the variables to the corresponding Send Email with Verification Code action inputs.
