Transfer dashboard ownership if responsibilities change or the current dashboard owner
leaves your organization. The new owner has full control over the dashboard contents. You can
change ownership of one or more dashboards at a time. You must have edit access to the folder that
contains the dashboard. The new owner is granted edit access to the dashboard folder.
Required Editions

Available in: Essentials, Group, Professional, Enterprise,
Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To change the dashboard owner to anyone in your org:
View All Data
To change the dashboard owner from and to anyone who rolls up to you in your team’s
Role Hierarchy:
View My Team's Dashboards
To be assigned as the owner of a dashboard:
Edit My Dashboards
AND
Create Customize Dashboards
AND
Manage Dashboards
For dynamic dashboards, add:
Manage Dynamic Dashboards
AND
View My Team's Dashboards (for Dynamic Dashboards with Run As Selected User
specified)
Change Ownership of a Single Dashboard
On the Analytics tab or the Dashboards tab, find the dashboard.
Select | Change Owner.
Select the new owner.
To send an email notification to the new owner, select Send Email
Notification.
Click Submit.
Change Ownership of Multiple Dashboards
On the Analytics tab, click Browse and then
Dashboards.
Select the dashboards.
In the Bulk Actions menu, select Change Owner.
Select the new owner.
To send an email notification to the new owner, select Send Email
Notification.
Click Submit.
