To include the lens in a dashboard, clip it. When you clip the lens, Wave adds the query as a step to the most recently used dashboard. If a dashboard isn’t open, Wave adds the step to a new dashboard in Wave dashboard designer. After you add the step to the designer, you can apply it to a widget in the dashboard. The widget overrides the visualization settings of the lens—the widget determines how to display the results of the query.
|Available in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.|
|Available for an extra cost in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions. Also available in Developer Edition.|
Open the lens.
Wave creates a step based on query of the lens, and adds it to the step panel of the dashboard designer.
To save the step, save the dashboard.
Changes to the step properties don’t affect the lens.
