          Create Tours from a Tour Template

          Use Tours to create executable trips that are assigned to a specific day and user with tour-specific characteristics and configurations. You can create a van sales tour independently of a route.

          Available in: Lightning Experience in Performance, Enterprise, and Unlimited Editions with Consumer Goods Cloud enabled

          To manage tours: Direct Store Delivery for Consumer Goods Offline Mobile App
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Tours.
          2. Click New Tour via Tour Template.
          3. Select the tour template from the list of active tour templates.
          4. Enter the tour name, description, and other details as required.
            The system presets all the tour information from the tour template and in turn the tour checks and tour object references. If you didn't specify these details in the tour template, you can do so when you create a tour.
            Field Purpose
            Default Driver Warehouse driver mapped to a tour.
            Route Reference to a route. You can create a tour from a route or without a route by using the tour template.
            Sales Org Sales org of the tour. The default value is set as the sales org of the tour template.
            Message Notes for the driver.
            Status Status of the tour. The default status is Open.
            Start Date Time Start date of the tour. The default value is set as Today’s date; time: 10:30 AM.
            End Date Time End date of the tour. The default value is 12/30/2099; time: 10:30 AM.
            Start Warehouse Warehouse at the start of the tour.
            End Warehouse Warehouse at the end of the tour.
            Consider Mileage

            Specifies whether the driver must document odometer readings at the start and end of a tour. Possible values are:

            • Yes (Must be aligned with the Odometer Photo Required field)
            • No
            • Optional
            Consider Vehicle Status

            Specifies whether the driver must check the vehicle (truck or trailer or both) for damage at the beginning and end of the tour. Possible values are

            • No
            • Only Status
            • Status + Reason
            Default Currency Currency of the cash or invoice transactions during a tour.
            Cash Handling Required Specifies whether the driver performs cash-related actions during the tour execution. This field is reserved for future use.
            Default Tour Visit Duration Specifies the duration of each visit in a tour. The duration is measured in minutes and is applicable for visits in an independent tour. The duration setting at the tour overwrites the duration set at the tour template.
            Odometer Photo Required Verifies that the user documents the odometer reading at the start and the end of the day with a picture.
            Allow Start Day Time Tracking Enables time tracking for the tour at the start of the day.
            Allow End Day Time Tracking Enables time tracking for the tour at the end of the day.
            Allow Start Day GPS Tracking Validates user GPS location against warehouse location at the start of the day.
            Allow End Day GPS Tracking Validates user GPS location against warehouse location at the end of the day.
            Allow Start Day Geofencing Enables GPS tracking at the start of the day.
            Allow End Day Geofencing Enables GPS tracking at the end of the day.
            Consider Vehicle

            Specifies the vehicles for which the driver has to provide identification (license number). Possible values are

            • No
            • Truck
            • TruckTrailer
            • TruckTrailers
            Cash Check In Required Specifies whether the cash check-in at the end of each tour is mandatory. This field is reserved for future use.
            Multiple Cash Check In Allowed Specifies whether multiple cash check-ins are possible for a tour. This field is reserved for future use.
            Express Check Out Specifies whether express checkout is allowed for this template. The default value is No. This field is reserved for future use.
            Seal Scanning Required Indicates if the user must scan seals when you select the Express Check-Out field. This field is reserved for future use.
            Odometer Start Mileage of the truck before starting the tour.
            Odometer End Mileage of the truck after completing the tour.
            Truck Vehicle of the type Truck Fast or Truck Slow that the driver can use during the tour. Reference to the vehicle.
            Trailer 1 Vehicle of the type Trailer that the driver can use during the tour. Reference to the vehicle.
            Trailer 2 Second vehicle of the type Trailer that the driver can use during the tour. Reference to the vehicle.
            Truck ok Start Specifies the truck (and trailer) condition before the driver starts the tour. It’s required for the tour driver to complete the vehicle condition check based on the Consider Vehicle Status setting. You can skip the step when Consider Vehicle Status is set as No.
            Truck ok End Specifies the vehicle condition at the end of the tour.
            Truck Status Start

            If the Truck ok Start is Yes, specify the type of damage observed before starting the tour. Possible values are

            • Brakes—Brakes are broken
            • Lights—Lights are broken
            • Mirror—Wing mirror is broken
            • Misc
            • Paint—Paint scratch
            • Tires—Flat tires
            • Vehicle—Vehicle damaged
            • Wash—Screenwash empty
            Truck Status End

            When the Truck ok End is Yes, specify the type of damage observed after the tour finishes. Possible values are

            • Brakes—Brakes are broken
            • Lights—Lights are broken
            • Mirror—Wing mirror is broken
            • Misc
            • Paint—Paint scratch
            • Tires—Flat tires
            • Vehicle—Vehicle damaged
            • Wash—Screenwash empty
            Cancel Reason

            Reason for tour cancellation. Possible values are

            • Route Closed
            • Vehicle Problems

            Cancel Reason is required if tour status is Canceled.

            Cancel Note Cancellation notes for the driver.

            Note The Cancel Information section is shown only when the status is Canceled.
          5. Save your changes.
