Considerations for Deleting Order Management Records
Data protection and privacy policies can require deletion of records used in Order Management. Because many records share complex relationships, the order in which you delete them is important. If you delete a record before deleting another record that references it, the reference can cause errors.

implementations.
When designing your deletion procedures, consider these requirements.
- If two objects have a master-detail relationship, then deleting a record of the master object deletes the corresponding detail object record.
- Deleting a record doesn’t necessarily delete records that reference it. For example, if you delete an order, delete its order products first.
Before deleting a referenced record, check for references to it and for objects containing references to it. Make sure you delete these references before deleting the record, or errors can occur. The table lists some references to consider when deleting Order Management records, however, it isn’t a comprehensive list of all possible dependencies.
