Create Return and Cancel Fee Products

Create Return and Cancel Fee Products

For each type of fee that you want to charge, create a product record and one price book entry for each supported currency. The actual price doesn’t matter, because you specify the fee amount when you create a return order or process a simple return or cancel.

          Required Editions

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Products.
          2. Click New.
          3. Enter a Product Name, for example Restocking Fee.
          4. Enter a Product Code, for example restocking_fee.
          5. Enter a Description, for example Charge a restocking fee when returning a product.
          6. Select Active.
          7. Click Save.
          8. On the new product’s Details page, select the Related tab.
          9. In the Price Books related list, click Add Standard Price.
          10. If you use multiple currencies, select a currency from the dropdown list.
          11. For List Price, enter a price. The value doesn’t matter. If the fee is a fixed amount, you can store the price here and retrieve it when adding a fee.
          12. Select Active.
          13. If you use multiple currencies, click Save & New, and add a price for each supported currency.
          14. Click Save.
