Set Up a Default Fee for a Service Flow

Set Up a Default Fee for a Service Flow

You can use all Order Management service flows out of the box, and you can also customize a flow and expand its functionality. This customization ensures consistency across service fees and saves time while processing an order by setting a default fee.

          Required Editions

          View supported editions.

If you don’t have an editable version of the flow yet, copy a flow template.

You can set default fees in these flows: cancel, discount, return, and RMA.

          1. Click Setup at the top of the page, and then select Setup.
          2. In the Quick Find box, enter flows, and select Flows.
          3. Select the flow that you’re customizing.
          4. In the flow, open the Manager tab.
          5. Configure the Allow Fees variable.
            1. Depending on your flow, find the allowReturnFees or allowCancelFees variable.
            2. For Default Value, enter {!$GlobalConstant.True}.
          6. Set a value for one or more of these variables.
You don’t have to include all the values in this customization. If you leave the default fee value empty, it defaults to 0 and no default fee will apply.
            • Find and select selectedFeeType, and enter Amount or Percent as the type of fee. The default is Amount.
            • Find and select selectedFeeValue, and enter a default fee value. The default value is 0.
            • Find and select selectedReasonForFee, and enter a reason code. If you don’t provide one, the reason defaults to no text.
            • Find and select selectedProduct2Id, and enter a product2 to associate with the fee. If you don’t provide a product2, Commerce creates one for the fee.
          7. Click Save.
          8. If you’re ready to activate the flow, click Activate.
