Add a Web Store Inventory Source for Order on Behalf Of
To use reservations when placing an order on behalf of a shopper, add a web store
inventory source. Reservations help reduce out-of-stock errors by holding a product as soon as
it’s placed in a cart.
If you set up a B2B or D2C
Commerce using the Commerce Setup Assistant, your web store inventory source is already
configured. To manually add an inventory source to your B2B or D2C Commerce org use the
refreshed commerce app.
From the App Launcher, find and select Web Store Inventory
Sources.
Click New.
Select a location or location group.
Select a web store.
Configure how long you want a reservation to last.
Enter an Inventory Cache TTL to set how long the cache lasts.
