Create Activations to Ad Audiences Partner Platforms
Activate your audience segments and company lists to advertising platforms.

Complete these tasks before you begin.
- Set up an External Activation Platform: System admins must configure the platform including parameters, authentication details, and required mappings in Data Cloud Setup.
- Create an activation target and enable the target. You can use the same activation target for activating user segments and company lists.
- Create an Audience Segment for your advertising campaign.
- On the Activations tab, click New.
- Select Segment.
- Select a data space.
- Select a segment to activate.
- Select the activation target.
- Select a DMO from Activation Membership.
- Click Continue.

Depending on the target, select one of these.
- Select User Match for audience segment activation.
- Select Company Match for company list activation.
- Select Device IDs for sending anonymous audiences.
- Map the data model attributes to their partner fields. Map the optional fields to increase the chances of finding a match.
- Click Next.
- For more refined output, add activation membership filters. Click Add Filters, drag attributes from the list to the canvas, and save the filter. See Add Filters to the Activation Membership.
- Click Next.
- Enter a name and description for the activation.
- Click Save. When the activation is complete, the audience segment or company list shows up on the target platform.
You can refresh Segment memberships manually or on a schedule. When a segment membership is refreshed, the activation is also updated.
