          Access Model Runtime Settings

          Access Model Runtime Settings

The new default runtime is the foundation for building all new predictive models in the AI Models tab in Data 360. This enhancement replaces the legacy runtime as the long-term platform for expanded predictive modeling capabilities.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          USER PERMISSIONS NEEDED
Allow users to manage models in AI Models Enables you to create, update, and delete models in AI Models.
          PERMISSION SETS
Data Cloud Architect Admin-level access to all AI Models features, including the ability to create, update, delete, and activate models.
Data Cloud User Restricted access to use a model, including getting predictions and improvements derived from a model.

          Use the New Runtime

These predictive capabilities use the new runtime in the AI Models tab.

          • Binary, multiclass, and regression predictive modeling

          • Sentiment analysis

          • Topic classification

          • Holt-Winters forecasting

          • Clustering (beta)

          Note
Note Because the new runtime supports all available capabilities, you don’t need to update your org settings.
          1. From the left navigation pane, select a capability.
          2. Follow the guided setup to configure and train your model.

          Use the Legacy Runtime

Only binary and regression models use both the new and legacy runtimes. To continue building a previously created model that used the legacy runtime, turn on the setting to create these model types. If you no longer want to create legacy models in your org, turn off this setting.

          Note
Note If you clone an existing binary or regression model, the cloned model uses the new runtime. This change also applies to previously created multiclass models.

All new models use the new runtime. When creating a predictive model from scratch, you can also create a legacy binary or regression model.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data Cloud Setup, and then select Data Cloud (Data Setup.
          2. Select Feature Manager, and then find Legacy AI Model Creation.
          3. Turn on the feature to create legacy models.
          4. From the App Launcher, find and select Data Cloud (Data 360).
          5. On the AI Models tab, select Predict to add a predictive model with binary or regression capabilities. The model that you create and train uses the legacy runtime.
          6. To create a copy of the model that uses the new runtime with the same model settings, clone the model.

          Use Dual Runtime

All new models use the new runtime. When creating a predictive model from scratch, you can also create a legacy binary or regression model.

          1. On the AI Models tab, select Predict to add a predictive model.
          2. To create a model that uses the earlier runtime, select your model and turn on the legacy binary or regression toggle. Turn off this setting to create the model using the new runtime.
