Create an API Activation in Data 360
API activation expands where and how you can initiate activations. API activation gives you the flexibility to use a Data 360 activation from Flow by using an API call.

All the targets that are currently supported for activations in Data 360 are available for API activation. These include file storage targets (S3 (Legacy), SFTP, GCS, Azure), Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and strategic partners (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn).
- On the Activations tab, click New.
- Select the API Activation, and click Next.
- Select a data space.
- For the ID Membership, select Individual or Unified Individual data model object (DMO). You must use a segment with the same DMO when you use this API activation in Flow.
- Select an activation target.
- For Activation Membership, select either the Individual or Unified Individual data model object (DMO). The DMOs listed are based on the ID Membership you selected.
- Click Continue.
- Configure the rest of the steps depending on the activation target you selected. For more information, see Activation Targets in Data 360.

Save the activation. An API activation runs every 24 hours.
Use this API activation in a segment-triggered flow or an activation-triggered flow in Flow Builder and add the Send to Data 360 Activation action.
An API can be linked to one active flow. You can delete an activation only when the flow is in the Draft or Completed state. You can’t delete an activation if the flow is in Activated or Scheduled (for recurring flows) state.
