Create an Activation for B2C Commerce Target
After you set the required data field mappings and create a segment in Data Cloud, create a B2C Commerce activation to publish the segment.

- In Data 360, click Segments and select a segment.
- From Activations, click New.

Select a B2C Commerce activation target. In Activation Membership, the data model
object (DMO) is chosen by default.
Unified Individual DMO isn't available for segments built on account or unified account objects.
- Click Continue.
- To filter the activation data, select one or more data sources.If you select a B2C Commerce data source, all activated attributes must have valid values since they can’t be left blank or null. If you select a non-B2C Commerce data source (for example: Amazon S3), make sure CustomerNo and CustomerListId activated attributes have valid values.Valid values are populated only when the field mappings are done correctly for all data sources.
- Enter a name and description for your activation.
Don’t include these characters in the name field: + ! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) = { } [ ] \ . < > / " : ? | , _ &
- Click Save.Your segment publishes on the next publish scheduled for the selected activation target. Activated data can take up to 24 hours to be visible in B2C Commerce. Segment membership is refreshed once a day with activation data from the past 36 hours. If the data isn’t consistently activated to B2C Commerce, it might be removed from the segment. To avoid removal, schedule an activation every 24 hours or more frequently.
