External Activation Platforms
Create and package an External Activation Platform to determine file formatting, required data details, or where to publish the files during activation. Share your package on AppExchange or provide the package URL generated in Package Manager for Data 360 admins to install.
- ISV Ecosystem Activation Using the Activation Toolkit
The Data 360 Activation Toolkit allows Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to build activation platforms on AppExchange. These platforms let subscriber organizations install and use ISV activation services. It lets them to match Data 360 data with destination data payloads and use advanced features like multi-key matching, contact point filtering, and supporting additional DMOs in Activation Membership. - Create an External Activation Platform Using the Manual Workflow
Create an external activation platform in a Data 360 Developer Edition org to help you reach your customers on your platform. - Create Custom Metadata for Your External Activation Platform
Create custom metadata for your external activation platform before you can package your platform for use by Data 360 admins. This applies only to platforms created using the manual workflow. - Package Your External Activation Platform for Distribution with Package Manager
After you created your External Activation Platform and custom metadata, use Package Manager to package and distribute your External Activation Platform to Data 360 Admins. A managed package is recommended because you can provide updates to admins when anything changes with the package. Only managed packages can be distributed through AppExchange. - Find External Activation Platform Segments in Cloud File Storage
After admins install your external activation platform, you can receive segments to Cloud File Storage (Amazon S3). For each activation target, you receive a success file, metadata file, and activation output files once a day for each identifier type when the output is grouped by user identifiers (PER_USER). Because files arrive only once a day, there’s a delay between Data 360 customers updating segments and those changes arriving to S3.
