Refer to the list of supported and unsupported features of Data 360 when you use Bring Your Own Lake (BYOL) data federation.

These features of Data 360 are supported when federating data from external sources.
- Data spaces
- Batch data transforms
- Calculated Insights (Batch)
- Streaming Insights for related objects only
- Identity resolution
- Segmentation
- Activation
- Data Actions
Note You can't map an external data lake object (DLO) to an Individual or a Lead data model object (DMO) that has a Data Action or Data Share associated with it. - Batch Predictions in Bring Your Own Model (BYOM)
- Data 360 Related Lists
- Querying external DLO via Data Explorer and Query APIs
- Related lists
- Field enrichments
- Search index Note To use DMOs in a search index, they must be mapped from external DLOs that have acceleration or caching enabled. You can’t use DMOs that have mappings from a mix of native and external DLOs.
Not Supported
You can’t use these features of Data 360 when federating data from external sources.
- Extending schema with formula fields or data type changes
- Changes in data types
- Data sharing of external DLOs and DMOs with an external data lake
- Rapid segmentation and activation
- Streaming data transforms
- Near real time identity resolution
- Streaming predictions in BYOM
Note At present, BYOL data federation supports a limited set of predicates for creating
calculated insights and segments.
