Configure Automatic Content Tagging (Beta)
Configure automatic content tagging for unstructured files and define a confidence threshold. Data 360 approves tags that meet or exceed the threshold, but others require manual review.
Required Editions
Content tagging is applied to unstructured content and requires a search index to be populated first. Once you enable automatic tagging, the system applies it to all new unstructured data in the selected objects.
| Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability. |
To use automatic content tagging, provision your org with the Dynamic Data Masking SKU. This license enables the security and governance policies that allow Data 360 to classify and mask sensitive data. See Data 360 Editions and Licenses.
Note Content tagging and unstructured data masking is a pilot or beta service
that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at Agreements - Salesforce.com or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by
Customer, and applicable terms in the Product Terms Directory. Use of this pilot or beta service is at the
Customer's sole discretion.
To configure automatic content tagging:
- In Data Cloud, go to the Data Governance tab.
- From the left navigation, go to Tag Assignments > Content Tagging, and select the Objects Selected for Automatic Content Tagging dropdown.
-
To edit the content tagging settings, click Edit.
Content tagging is applied to unstructured content and requires a search index to be populated first. Once you enable automatic tagging, the system applies it to all new unstructured data in the selected objects. You can tag UDLOs up to 5 GB per object. For larger data, split it into multiple UDLOs and create separate search indexes. When the total size exceeds 5 GB, rebuilding the search index removes all existing tags, leaving previously protected data unprotected.
- To enable automatic tagging, select Enable Automatic Content Tagging.
-
From the Automatic Content Tagging Threshold dropdown, select the
confidence threshold for tags to be automatically approved. The confidence threshold controls
how strictly tags are automatically approved.
- Low: Tags are applied to all data, regardless of accuracy.
- Medium: Tags are applied only to data with moderate to high accuracy.
- High: Tags are applied only to data with high accuracy, reducing errors but limiting automatic tagging.
- Click Save Settings.
- To review discovered content tags and see how many were applied based on the tagging threshold, go to Tags > Tag Manager and select the search index for your UDLO.
