          Event Time in Data 360

An event date is a time-based attribute in a DMO that is defined at the data stream level during ingestion. A DMO can have multiple event dates. The Event Time Field applies only to DMOs designated with the Engagement category.

When a segment is processed, only records that have a value for all system date attribute fields are returned. When an Engagement DMO is included in a segment, the segment can process the data records up to 24 months of the event date field. A segment fails if the date range exceeds 24 months. To run the segment again, adjust the event dates to fit this range.

          Example
Example The Sales Order DMO designates the Purchase Date attribute as the event date field. When you use the Sales Order DMO to create a segment of individuals who made at least $500 of purchases within the past X days, the value of X can’t exceed 24 months.
