          Collaborate in a Clean Room

          Collaborate in a Clean Room

Use a clean room to run queries on your collective data. Compare your segment to a provider’s segments to gain deep insights.

          Required Editions

Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permissions Needed
To collaborate in a clean room:

          One of these permission sets:

          • Data Cloud Architect
          • Data Cloud Activation Manager
          • Data Cloud Activation Specialist
          Note
Note Your collaboration must be in an active state.
          1. In Data Cloud, go to the Clean Room tab.
          2. Under Collaborations, open the collaboration record that you want to run the query on.
          3. Click Run Query.
          4. Enter a name for the query.
          5. Select the required query parameters. For example, the segment.
          6. Click Run Query.

When the query run is complete, you can view the query details in the Query History section on the collaboration record. The query details are also added to the Clean_Room_Audit_Log DMO in Data Explorer.

On a successful query run, the output is added to the Clean_Room_Overlap_Output DMO in Data Explorer. You can also create a report that contains the analysis of the output. To create a report from the output DMO, see Create a Standard Report on Data Cloud Objects.

For certain scenarios, this report is auto-generated and stored in the Query Results section. If you’re using the Salesforce-provided segment overlap use case, the output stored in the Clean_Room_Overlap_Output DMO consists of the list of records that are common to both segments. The report that contains the overlap percentage is auto-generated and added to the Query Results section. The consumer can access both the report and the DMO.

If you’re using a custom template, the report is auto-generated only if the default custom query is retained. If you change the query in the template, you must manually create the report from the output DMO.
