Clean Rooms Privacy and Security
Data Cloud clean rooms use robust privacy and security measures to keep your data secure. To collaborate, both parties must agree to the terms and conditions. All sensitive data must be encrypted with the SHA256 hashing algorithm before it enters the clean room. Hashing helps protect user identities and reduces risks if the data environment were ever compromised.
Query results are aggregated, so no individual data is released. To prevent the reidentification of individuals or exposure of sensitive information within small groups, query results must contain a minimum number of records. Because running repeated queries on the same data can reveal specific and identifiable details about individuals, you can’t run more than 100 queries in a 24-hour period.
Query logs record all data access, queries, and activities performed within the clean room. The logs are stored in the Audit log DMO, and both parties have access to them.
