          Create a Calculated Insight Using Builder

          Create a calculated insight without using SQL by using the builder tool in Data 360.

          Required Editions

          Available in: All Editions supported by Data 360. See Data 360 edition availability.
          User Permission Sets Needed
          To create calculated insights:

          Permission set:

          • Data Cloud Architect
          1. In Data Cloud, go to the Calculated Insights tab, and click New.
          2. From the Data Space dropdown, select a data space.
            You can use only the data spaces that you have access to. Only the objects that are included in the data space are available to create a calculated insight.
          3. Click Calculated Insight.
          4. Click Use Visual Builder and click Next.
          5. If your Insight includes currency fields, select the Insight Currency value at the top of the page.
          6. Click Select an Object, select the object, and then click Next.
          7. Add the nodes by clicking + next to the object.
            You must select at least one aggregate node.
          8. Add measures and dimensions to your insight by clicking Aggregate.
            You must select at least one measure.
            1. Under Measures, click +.
            2. Select a metric function and the field that you want to calculate, and then click Next.
            3. Enter the metric name, and click Apply.
            4. Under Dimensions, click +.
            5. Select the field that you want to group by, and click Next.
            6. Enter the dimension name, and click Apply.
          9. To save the aggregate node, click Apply.
          10. (Optional) Add or modify data using a join, case, filter, transform, or arithmetic expression in your insight. See Working with Nodes in Visual Insight Builder.
          11. Click Save and Run.
          12. Enter the calculated insight name, and click Next.
            The Calculated Insight API Name field is auto-filled.
          13. From the Schedule dropdown, select a schedule.
          14. Select the start date and time of the schedule.
          15. Click Enable.

          You can now view your insight on the record home page.
